The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at National Chung Hsing University cordially invites applications from scholars for full-time position of Assistant Professor and above starting from August 1, 2027.

Qualifications:
Applicants with a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics, Foreign Language Education Technology, or a related field are welcome to apply, regardless of nationality. Candidates should demonstrate forward-looking research expertise in language teaching that integrates AI technology into teaching applications, digital language learning, or interdisciplinary innovation. Candidates must be able to teach courses such as English Oral Training, Business English, and Professional English Writing entirely in English. Preference will be given to those with experience in EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction), conducting research projects funded by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), or implementing Teaching Practice Research Programs sponsored by the Ministry of Education.

The University aims to increase the number of international scholars and especially welcomes applications from qualified academics. Newly appointed faculty members are eligible to apply for a range of recruitment benefits, including flexible salary incentives, low-rent faculty housing, reduced teaching loads during the first two years, and research start-up funding.

  12. Two letters of recommendation
  13. Consent to provide personal data (See Attachment 5)
  14. Declaration of the applicant’s status regarding registered residence in Mainland China and possession of a Mainland Chinese passport, identity card, settlement permit, or residence certificate (See Attachment 6; Chinese Version Only)
  15. Samples of representative and reference publications


**Please prepare all forms and documents in the order listed and secure them with paper clips or binder clips. There is no need to bind them into a booklet.
**Please sign each photocopy in a blank area to certify that it is a true copy.
**Please scan documents 1 to 14 as PDF files and merge them into a single file named “Profile.” Document 15 should be submitted separately as the “Publications.” Please email both files to xwchen@nchu.edu.tw before the application deadline.
