Scholarships and Grants for NCHU Students |
Name of Scholarship or Grant | Requirements |
NCHU Academic Scholarship | The scholarship is available to current NCHU students whose average grade of the previous semester ranks among top 3 in the class. Qualified applicants will each receive NT$2,000-$4,000. |
NCHU Scholarship for Underprivileged Students | The scholarship is available to underprivileged NCHU students who demonstrate excellent academic performance. Applications are accepted once a year; qualified applicants will each receive NT$10,000. In principle, the scholarship is awarded to no more than 100 undergraduate and 50 graduate students each year. |
NCHU Study Loan for Underprivileged Students (Voluntary Repayment) | The loan is available to NCHU students from underprivileged families. Loan recipients are expected to pay off the loan to the best of their ability once they have achieved financial stability after graduation. |
NCHU Research Paper Grant | The grant aims to promote academic research and improve research quality among NCHU students. Students whose research is published in well-known journals of good reputation will each receive NT$20,000- $50,000. |
NCHU Scholarship for Students from Low-income Family or Students with Special Needs | The scholarship aims to promote higher education among students with special needs. Applicants who meet the criteria set forth in NCHU's regulations governing scholarships for students with special needs are eligible to apply. |
CTCI Foundation Scholarship | The scholarship is available to NCHU students who have demonstrated academic excellence in the fields of social science, engineering, and natural science. The NT$100,000 scholarship is awarded to 15 qualified applicants each year. |
NCHU Scholarships Sponsored by Private Corporations and Individuals | A total of 27 kinds of scholarships sponsored by private corporations and individuals are available to NCHU students who make excellent grades or are from underprivileged families. Students from all departments and institutes are eligible to apply. The scholarships are awarded to 50 qualified applicants each year, who will each receive NT$3,000- $40,000. |
NCHU Emergency Relief Allowance | The allowance provides relief to NCHU students who suffer personal emergencies or whose family requires emergency assistance. Qualified applicants will each receive an allowance of NT$20,000. There is no limit on the number of recipients each year. |
Scholarships Offered by Individual Departments or Institutes | A total of 60 kinds of department- or institute-specific scholarships are available each year to 100 NCHU students who make excellent grades or are from underprivileged families. Qualified applicants will each receive NT$5,000-$30,000. |
Students' Education and Learning Grant | Many academic and administrative offices on campus offers paid internship opportunities. Please contact individual offices for details. |
Student Loan | NCHU students are eligible to apply for student loans to help pay for school tuition, incidental expenses, internship fees, pension fund payment, life insurance, accommodation, cost of textbooks, etc. Please contact NCHU Work Study Office for details. |
