    The common ingredient of the hash brown is potato. Some may have fillings which vary from night market to night market. The hash brown is generally either shaved or cut into small chunks before frying. It is golden yellow in color and has a very crispy taste. The hash brown is a staple in vegetarian restaurants as well as a common snack in both Chinese breakfast cafés and night markets.
