Herbal/Grass Jelly

    The main ingredient of this dessert is a type of mint leaf and stalk: Mesona chinensis. To prepare the Herbal/Grass Jelly, the dry leaves and stalks of Mesona chinensis are boiled and while the liquid is hot, a little sugar and cornstarch are added. It is good in the winter, and often served with beans such as red beans, mung beans, and peanuts.
