Unagidon
鰻魚蓋飯
mán yú gài fàn

Originally from Japan, the high-end Unagidon (eel rice bowl) can be as ordinary as a popular snack food found in Taiwan night markets. The serving is basically a bowl of rice fully topped with charcoal grilled eel fillets and flavored with a sweet sauce that looks very similar to teriyaki, but tastes better. Before serving, sprinkle with chopped green onions, pepper, or sesame seeds to enhance the appearance as well as to increase the taste.
