Meatballs
肉圓
ròu yuán

Taiwanese meatballs are usually between six to eight inches in diameter. Pork, bamboo shoots, and other ingredients are first wrapped in a sweet potato flour and cornstarch wrapping before it is deep fried. They are flat, round, and translucent in appearance. Sweet and sour sauces and coriander leaves are served over the meatballs.
